Veganuary is the perfect opportunity to try something new and do your bit for the planet, animals, and even your health. The idea is simple: try eating vegan for the month of January. Not ready to go all-in? No problem! Even small steps, like swapping one meal a day or trying a vegan snack, can make a difference.

Why go vegan?

  • Environmental impact: Eating more plant-based meals reduces your carbon footprint and saves water.
  • Health benefits: A vegan diet can lower cholesterol, improve heart health, and introduce you to vibrant new foods.
  • Animal welfare: It’s a compassionate way to reduce harm to animals.

How you can get involved

  1. Try a vegan meal
Why not start small? Swap your usual lunch or dinner for a delicious plant-based dish. Need ideas? Check out these tasty recipes

  2. Make a team challenge
Challenge your team to go vegan for a day or even a week! See what meals each of you come up with or who can eat vegan the longest.

  3. Take the Veganuary pledge
Sign up on the Veganuary website for free resources, meal plans, and tips to help you along the way.

  4. Swap your snacks
Try vegan-friendly versions of your favourite snacks. From Oreos to crisps, you might be surprised how many treats are accidentally vegan. Why not bring in your favourite plant-based snacks to share with colleagues. Let’s get the office buzzing with new flavours and ideas!

  5. Support local vegan cafés
Head to one of the local vegan-friendly eateries for your lunch break.

Going vegan for a month won't solve climate change on its own, but it can be a great first step towards more sustainable habits. By choosing more plant-based foods, you're helping to reduce the resources needed to produce your meals while giving yourself the chance to discover new foods and recipes. Who knows? The changes you make in January could become habits that benefit both you and the planet all year round.
