Mollie Heslop

Mollie qualified as a solicitor in August 2025 into our Regulatory team. She focuses on agricultural matters, food and animal related matters, as well as planning, environmental and health and safety matters. Mollie defends food businesses, farmers, construction firms and others when enforcement action and prosecutions are brought against them.

Mollie advises in respect of regulatory enforcement action by local and national government bodies, including the Food Standards Agency (FSA), the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Trading Standards, and local councils.

Mollie's current work includes challenging enforcement notices in the Tribunal and Magistrates Court, advising on criminal investigations and prosecutions in the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts, and challenging decisions by way of Judicial Review in the High Court.

Mollie completed her training contract at Roythornes in 2025 having completed seats in Agricultural Property, Regulatory Litigation, Corporate and Commercial and Family Law.

Before joining Roythornes in September 2023, Mollie graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a Law degree in 2021. She then completed her LLM LPC at Nottingham Law School in 2023, achieving a Distinction.
