Edd's expertise sits within the Renewable Energy sector, where he regularly advises on numerous large scale solar and other renewable projects for both developers and landowners.
As part of the team instructed to deal with in excess of 1,500 acres of proposed solar farms over the last 12 months alone, a particular highlight of Edd's has been acting for Lark Energy on the largest solar farm in the UK, a 35MW scheme comprising 130,000 panels at Wymeswold in Leicestershire which was commissioned in March 2013.
Edd has recently been instructed to advise on the property aspects of a proposal to install four new AD/gasification plants across the UK with a combined capacity of in excess of 32MW.
A member of the firm’s Minerals team, Edd spent six months in 2010/2011 seconded to Lafarge Aggregates (now Lafarge Tarmac), one of the UK’s largest producers of construction materials. Here he developed a strong understanding of the commercial and operational requirements that drive property transactions and he continues to be instructed by Lafarge Tarmac, particularly in relation to its non-operational landholdings.
With 15 years’ experience acting for both operators and landowners, Edd heads up the firm’s mines and minerals team. He also has extensive expertise in general commercial property, development and energy projects.
