Jake Fish

Jake is a Trainee Solicitor in our Construction and Engineering team, where he supports clients on a range of non-contentious construction matters. He assists with the preparation, review and negotiation of construction contracts and project documentation, including appointments, collateral warranties, and deeds of novation. He also supports clients in managing contractual risk and navigating the legal aspects of construction and development projects.

Before joining the Construction and Engineering team, Jake completed seats in Commercial Litigation and Personal Injury where he assisted clients through the litigation process on a range of complex matters, including contract, construction and clinical negligence claims. Having worked on matters where contractual and project issues have ultimately ended in dispute, Jake brings a practical and commercially focused perspective to his work, helping clients identify and manage risk at an early stage.

Prior to joining Roythornes, Jake volunteered as an Independent Advocate with Age Cymru, providing support to individuals over the age of 50, particularly on social housing issues. He has also delivered workshops on Private Child Law as part of a pro bono initiative, helping members of the public understand the Family Court process and the orders available to them.
