Hester Cowley
Hester is a Trainee Solicitor in our Family team where she continues to build on her strong foundations as she works towards qualification as a solicitor.
The first seat of her Training Contract was in our Residential Development team where she assisted with a range of matters, including commercial landlord and tenant work, property finance and assisting with work for housebuilders and landowners. Hester started the second seat of her Training Contract in March 2026 in our Family team, where she is keen to develop her skills and help to assist and support clients through their family law matters.
Prior to joining Roythornes, Hester completed her LPC LLM with the University of Law in 2025, selecting electives in Advanced Real Estate, Family, Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence and Employment. She studied her undergraduate law degree at Nottingham Trent University, during which she undertook a year-long placement at Hodge Jones & Allen in London.
While working as a Legal Clerk in their Housing team, Hester gained valuable experience in social housing, possession and homelessness matters. She regularly communicated with vulnerable clients and developed a practical and empathetic approach to legal support.
