Fiona Yorath

Fiona joined Roythornes in September 2013 and completed her training contract with the firm, qualifying as a Solicitor in spring 2016. After taking a career break to raise her two young children, Fiona returned to the Private Client Department at our Spalding office in 2025, where she now works alongside Elizabeth Young in the Court of Protection team.

While Fiona previously advised on a broad range of private client matters including Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and estate administration, her current focus is on Court of Protection work, where she is committed to supporting clients and their families with care and sensitivity.

Before joining Roythornes, Fiona studied French and Russian at the University of Bristol, BA (Hons) 2:1, which included a year studying at the Université Sorbonne Paris Nord France and the Kuban State University Russia. She went on to undertake a law conversion at the University of Law in London, completing both the GDL and LPC there and gaining her LLB (Hons) 2:1 in 2012.
