Emma Barnard

Emma started her training contract in September 2025 with her first seat being in our Family team. Emma’s current seat is in the Private Client team where she is gaining valuable experience in a wide range of matters such as lifetime estate planning advice, including the creation and administration of trusts, preparing bespoke Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and estate administration.

Emma began her career at Roythornes in 2023 as a Paralegal in the Real Estate team where she worked with the firm’s Conveyancers on various property transactions involving residential and commercial property. Thereafter, Emma worked in the Family Department from August 2024 prior to starting her training contract.

Emma successfully completed the Civil/Commercial Mediation Training Programme with ADR ODR International, and in June 2023, she became an accredited Civil/Commercial Mediator. She is also set to further enhance her expertise by undertaking the Digital Dispute Resolution Specialist Diploma with ADR ODR International in the near future.

She graduated from Warwick University with a first-class degree in Theatre and Performance Studies in 2021 before being awarded a scholarship to Nottingham Law school whereby she completed her LLM in Applied Leal Practice with distinction in July 2025.
