Amy is an Associate in our Family team, advising clients on a wide range of matters with empathy, care and clear, practical guidance.
She acts in cases involving divorce and the dissolution of civil partnerships, financial remedies following the breakdown of a marriage, children proceedings (including those involving allegations of harm, parental alienation and relocation), and the enforcement of child arrangements orders. Amy regularly assists clients with parental responsibility orders, specific issue orders, and prohibited steps orders.
Her work also covers Change of Name Deeds (including for children), Cohabitation Agreements and disputes, Separation Agreements, Family Law Act proceedings such as Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders (including applications to vary or discharge), and the enforcement of financial orders. Amy also advises on pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.
Amy returned to her Lincolnshire roots to complete her training contract with Roythornes and has progressed to become a valued member of the team.
She graduated from the University of Leicester in 2018 with an LLB in Law and Criminology, before completing the Legal Practice Course at the University of Sheffield. During her studies, Amy gained experience in family and criminal law, as well as debt recovery, through placements with local firms. She has served as a representative for Aspiring Solicitors, an organisation that champions diversity in the legal profession and is a member of Resolution.
