A report commissioned by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (“APIL”) has shown that an estimated 1.6 million people in the UK say they have become a victim of negligence.

This means that 30,000 people fall ill or are injured per week.

To mark the end of Injury Awareness Week (26 to 30 June), here’s a sample of some of the enquiries our Personal Injury Department received over the course of the last few days, one for each day of the week:

Lack of consent obtained for surgery
Complaint arising out of failure to obtain adequate consent before surgery.

Clinical negligence
Enquiry from family member regarding their sister who developed an infection whilst in hospital.

Accident at work
The Claimant was attacked in the course of his employment as a delivery driver.

Cosmetic negligence
An allergic reaction occurred during a beauty treatment.

Slip/trip accident
The Claimant suffered extensive injuries when he slipped on a public right of way.  The area was poorly lit.

These cases demonstrate how injury can arise in any number of ways and of course some of the many instances in which our specialist team can help accident victims recover compensation for their injuries and ongoing care.

If you have been injured in an accident, call please contact us and we will talk you through the possibility of claiming compensation, and answer any questions you may have.
