Matthew joined Roythornes in 2022 after spending 12 years working in Cambridge at another leading national law firm where he chose to specialise in Agricultural Law.
Matthew advises clients across the sector ranging from private individual landowners to larger companies. He deals with all aspects of rural property including purchases and sales, financial arrangements, overage, tenancies, and voluntary registrations. Matthew has particular expertise advising family farming businesses and in high-value sales and purchases of land.
In Chambers and Partners 2022, Matthew is described as being “….a very efficient and capable solicitor. He is able to quickly and confidently unpack complex legal matters before providing concise and clear advice”.
Matthew has a particular interest in the changes in farm subsidies, environmental schemes, and developments in Agri-Tech.
