Ben Arrowsmith
Ben graduated from the University of Surrey in 1998 and completed his GDL and LPC at the College of Law in 2009, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2012.
Ben is head of the planning team, based in Nottingham, and brings a great deal of experience having acted for listed, national and regional housebuilders as well as for local planning authorities.
Ben has experience of working in a variety of private practices as well as local government. Ben also has experience of dealing with large mixed-use sites of 1,500 + units as well as smaller developments.
Throughout his career, Ben has dealt with all manner of planning matters including: drafting complex s106 agreements; acting on planning inquiries and judicial reviews; dealing with heritage matters; dealing with applications for certificates of lawfulness; planning due diligence for corporate and real estate deals; and acting on enforcement matters. Ben is currently the editor of the Enforcement Chapter of Butterworths’ Planning Law Service.
