Megan Thomas

Megan is currently undertaking her third seat of her training contract at Roythornes Solicitors, gaining experience across the Agricultural Property and Private Client departments. She assists with a broad range of matters, including the sale and purchase of farmland, farm business tenancies, and the drafting of property transfer documents and covenants to protect clients’ land interests.

Megan also liaises with clients, surveyors, and Land Registry, while building hands-on experience in estate planning, succession matters, and the preparation of wills and lasting powers of attorney.

Previously, she completed her second seat in the Property Litigation team, where she supported disputes across both the agricultural and commercial sectors, developing valuable experience in resolving complex property matters.

Megan joined Roythornes in 2022 as a Legal Secretary, progressing to a Paralegal role before starting her training contract in 2024 in the Residential Development team. During this time, she gained practical experience with development transactions and expanded her legal knowledge in the property sector.

Her journey at Roythornes has provided her with a well-rounded foundation in property law, which she continues to build as she works towards qualification as a solicitor.
