Anthony Rydell

Anthony is a Solicitor in our Natural Resources team based in the Nottingham office. He specialises in large scale renewable energy projects, including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs), acting primarily for landowners. Anthony advises on complex project documentation and helps clients navigate the land, title, and compliance considerations that arise when delivering major clean energy schemes.

Alongside his renewable energy work, Anthony supports landowners with land transfers and agricultural tenancy matters, often ensuring that existing arrangements align with or facilitate proposed energy developments on their land.

Anthony joined Roythornes in 2023 as a Trainee Solicitor and completed seats in Agricultural Property, Natural Resources, and Property Litigation, where he developed a strong grounding in transactional land work, contentious property issues, and the evolving regulatory landscape surrounding energy and rural industries.

Before joining Roythornes, Anthony worked as an in-house conveyancing Paralegal for a property investment company, gaining valuable experience in residential and commercial transactions.

Originally from the United States, Anthony grew up in upstate New York and holds a degree in History from Utica University. He later completed both the GDL and LPC at Nottingham Law School before training and qualifying as a Solicitor with Roythornes.
