Annabel Barnes

Annabel is a Solicitor in Roythornes' Corporate and Commercial team, based in the Nottingham office. She advises clients on a broad range of corporate transactions and corporate governance matters, assisting with mergers and acquisitions, business reorganisations, and company restructures.

Annabel's experience includes acting on share sales and purchases, business and asset sales and acquisitions, management buyouts (MBOs), and private equity transactions. She also assists clients with corporate reorganisations and restructures, including demergers, as well as drafting and advising on shareholders' agreements and articles of association.

Annabel joined Roythornes as a trainee solicitor in September 2022 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2024. During her training, she gained valuable experience within the firm's Agricultural Property team before moving into her current corporate role.

Prior to her legal career, Annabel graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2020 with a First Class degree in English and Classics. She went on to achieve a Distinction in both her Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Legal Practice Course (LPC), alongside a Master's degree in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Law.
