Before you send us identity documents, please read the following which explains the protection we have in place.
We realise that we are in a position of trust when we are working on your behalf. We are also aware that there are people and organisations that try to obtain money from individuals and businesses under false pretences. Because it is so important to us that we are your ‘trusted advisors’ we have invested in systems and procedures that ensure your interest are looked after at all times – in particular when we are asking for identity checks and money payments.
Protecting your identity - Sending us your ID
As your legal advisors it’s important that we protect your identity at all times and make sure that your identification checks are handled in a safe and secure manner. To do this we use a system run by Legl. Legl are experts in Identity Verification and are used by hundreds of law firms such as Roythornes across the UK. Using Legl enables you to provide us with proof of your identity etc in a safe and secure environment.
The system means that you can upload and verify your identity and other documents quickly, and that we can check them to ensure we are dealing with who we expect to be.
The benefit for you is that it means we can get working for you quicker, and that we don’t have to wait for copies of document in the post before we start work.
What happens next?
You will receive an email from Roythornes Solicitors with the e-mail <noreply@legl.com>. This e-mail will contain a link inviting you to provide details and evidence of ID. The process is quick and easy to use and can be completed on a computer or mobile phone.
When you click on the link you will be taken to the Legl system, which will guide you through the process. The initial screen will look like this:
Please follow the instructions to upload and verify your identity.
Once we have received notification from Legl, we will confirm that we have received your ID verification.
