Planning Property Lawyer

Department: Planning Property

Location: Spalding

Contract type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

As part of our continuous growth and development, we are looking for an experienced planning lawyer to join our growing planning team and enhance the existing services that we offer to our clients. A considerable amount of our existing property work involves aspects of planning:-

  • Acting for developers on large commercial, residential or mixed projects, from inception and strategic planning to development and onward sales
  • Acting for land-owners, and consortiums, on options, promotion or collaboration agreements
  • S106, s38, s272 agreements and other planning agreements
  • Exploring development potential on land holdings, including for executors prior to distribution of estates
  • Renewables projects
  • Mineral and extraction projects
  • Enforcement proceedings
  • Judicial review
  • Tenancy management issues
  • Charity and ecclesiastical property work.

As mentioned this position is to join our growing planning team, to give greater depth and expand the service we can offer and to support our Planning partner.

Initially the role will involve dealing with specific stand alone planning matters for clients, such as s106 agreements, and also assisting other fee earners with the planning aspects of more complex matters. The fact that we act for both developers and landowners gives us a strong client base and one that has proved resilient to the economic climate. There is also scope to be involved with business development initiatives, and the training and development of other fee earners and support staff in planning matters.
