Sarah joined the firm as a partner in our Private Client team in 2015. As a member of the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners (STEP) and a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association, she is highly experienced in the creation of wills, partnership agreements and trusts. Her focus is particularly on the provision of advice to those involved in farming and agriculture, but also to individuals and family businesses. Sarah has acted for a number of lottery winners and high profile individuals and enjoys working alongside clients to guide them through the process of planning their personal affairs to meet their longer term objectives. In addition, she also acts for a number of existing trusts and trustees providing advice on the ongoing administration and organisation of those trusts and, in some instances, she is also a professional trustee.
Sarah has a broad experience of probate and the administration of complex and high value estates, often acting for estates where there is a contentious element.
She also works with clients who wish to prepare Lasting of Powers of Attorney and has acted in providing advice to elderly and vulnerable individuals and their families on practice and procedure in the Court of Protection.
Sarah is a trustee of a local charity and is part of Roythornes charity practice group. She has represented a number of charities and their trustees and officers, providing advice on the compliance, risk and regulatory requirements. In addition, Sarah has advised individuals on achieving their philanthropic ambitions through the creation and administration of charitable trusts and interaction with the Charity Commission.
