Educated locally, Harry spent his vacations from university working with Roythornes and is now a year into his training contract with the firm.
He studied his LLB at the University of York, a course focused towards the practical application of the law and legal skills, rather than taking a solely theoretical approach. For his dissertation, he elected to study the developing issues with employment status in the gig economy.
For his first seat, Harry spent time in Litigation assisting Legal 500 Hall of Fame lawyer, Alan Plummer, as well as working alongside Phil Cookson and Laura Hill. He was involved in a broad range of matters, but mainly in property and employment disputes.
His second seat saw him working alongside Iain Hibbert in Commercial Property, dealing with various short-term commercial leasehold transactions with supervision, as well as assisting with the larger renewable energy projects and multi-million property transactions that the team is involved with. He is currently in his third seat, which takes him to Private Client, assisting head of department, Elizabeth Young.
Whilst training, Harry is also completing his LPC at De Montfort University on a part-time basis.
