From quite an early age, Lauren had her sights set on a career in law.
She began her journey with a law degree from Lincoln University, following up with the completion of a relatively new qualification: the LLM Legal Practice (Barristers) course, which combines the Bar Professional Training Course with a Masters in Legal Practice. She chose clinical negligence as her dissertation topic for which she was awarded a distinction, and was called to the Bar in November 2019.
Whilst studying her BPTC, Lauren gained valuable experience by working in barristers’ chambers in Leeds, assisting clerks with administration, chasing documents and preparing court bundles.
She joined Roythornes in 2019 as a float legal secretary, moving throughout the different departments across the Peterborough and Alconbury offices. She became paralegal to Tim Russ in early 2020 with the aim of becoming a solicitor once she has completed the necessary LPC modules.
