Just under two centuries of service was represented by staff at Roythornes Solicitors ‘Long Service Lunch’ which took place in Spalding last week.
The seven staff members were treated to a thank you lunch by the partners of the firm and were joined by several partners who had also served over 25 years.
Speaking about the lunch, Senior Partner Paul Osborne, who has been a partner for nearly 30 years, said:
“To think that there were nearly 200 years’ service represented in the room is a real cause for celebration and we wanted to say thank you to those members of staff who have been with us for most if not all of their working lives."
The lengths of service at the lunch ranged from Anne Rawlings, Helen Pears, Trudie Bates and Penny Rolfe, who had all completed 25 years’ service; Joyce Watts (26 years’ service); and Timothy Edwards (32 years). The longest serving guest was Paul Harrison who works in the property team and has completed an incredible 37 years at the firm – having joined Roythornes as his first job after leaving school.
“It was a great occasion and hopefully our ‘long service team’ enjoyed themselves. It reflects well on both the people who were there and the firm that we could hold the lunch and we now intend to make it an annual event.”
