Roythornes' staff go above and beyond for Alzheimer's Society

SPALDING LEGAL FIRM, ROYTHORNES, RAISED over £2,100 for Alzheimer’s Society over the course of 2017. After becoming its charity of the year, Roythornes Solicitors of Pinchbeck set out to not only fundraise for the organisation but also raise awareness of dementia and dispel the stigmas attached to it, through workshops where members of staff committed to becoming ‘dementia friends’.

Fundraising efforts took place across Roythornes’ four offices throughout the East Midlands and included a Three Peaks Challenge, dress-down days, bake sales, a present-wrapping service, sweepstakes and more. Naomi Liston, a legal executive and head of Roythornes’ events team said: “We’re really proud of all the charitable efforts from members of staff and how they embraced Alzheimer’s Society as their charity of the year”.

After a very close vote consisting of over 10 charities, the firm has decided to support Lincolnshire first responders, LIVES, as its nominated charity for 2018, with a number of initiatives already planned.  The first, which is due to take place in March, is a free CPR/first aid demonstration event which has been specifically tailored towards the company’s many farming clients.

Roythornes is aiming to smash last year’s total and up their charitable, community and environmental efforts throughout 2018.
