Roythornes solicitors has boosted its legal team as four of their staff have completed their training and qualified as Solicitors.
The four have spent the last two years training within the top 200 firm, and will now take up permanent positions in some of Roythornes specialist teams.
The four are Sarah Whitehurst (Property Litigation, Spalding), Rebecca Jackson (Property, Spalding), Lisa Millington (Private Client, Spalding) and Claire Trolove (Property Litigation, Peterborough).
Speaking about the qualification, Partner Phil Cookson who runs the firms training scheme said:
“We’re delighted that the four have qualified and will be staying with the firm to help us maintain our strong position in the region. Training to be a solicitor is a long process which takes commitment and hard work and we congratulate them on their success.”
Each year Roythornes receives a large number of applications for a training contract, and applicants usually work for a year as a paralegal before they start their training.
“It’s vital that we get the right trainees joining us, as they are the future of the firm. Our process is quite rigorous, but the fact that we have such a good retention rate and many of our partners including myself trained here shows that we have a good system in place.”
Earlier this year Roythornes appeared in the Lex 100, a listing of the top 100 firms in the UK to secure a training contract.
