Around 100 businesses converged on the Kingsgate Conference Centre in Peterborough for Roythornes Solicitors second Food Business Breakfast.
The event aims to bring the food sector in the region together to help businesses involved in the sector develop their contacts and meet others involved in an industry so important to the region.
After networking the delegates heard from Karen Green, Commercial Director of Ichiban UK talk about innovation and ideas. Ichiban are the UK’s largest Sushi manufacture and make over 40 million packs a year for the major supermarkets and their own brand.
Speaking about the event Roythornes Marketing Manager Mark Dodds said:
“The food sector is so important to the region – it employs tens of thousands of people and generates hundreds of millions of pounds for the economy. We felt this should be built upon and are delighted that so many businesses were able to join us.”
