Our 'Farming at the Crossroads' event is all about discussion and sharing views on the key issues affecting the sector.
Farming at the Crossroads - Where now for farming?
“Where now for farming?” will be the topic for our inaugural Farming at the Crossroads event. Farming at the Crossroads is a new farming-focussed bi-monthly discussion group hosted by Roythornes on its Alconbury Weald base, located near the A1/A14 junction in Cambridgeshire. All those involved in farming and land management – farmers, estate owners, advisers, investors, journalists – are welcome to come along and pitch in.
The B-word throws things up in the air for every UK business, but the ag sector will be more heavily affected than most. Add in the challenges of climate change and the pressures on housing supply, infrastructure and environment, and we face a critical moment. Significant change is inevitable.
Join us for a breakfast roll from 8am. Then, to help kick start our discussion we’ll have a couple of short, sharp contributions from some experts in their field, briefed to tell us how they see things from their perspective (availability of finance, the land market, structural changes in farming).
Please do come along and share your views at what promises to be a lively and informative session.
