" I am thoroughly enjoying my time as a trainee."
After completing my degree in law, I decided to look for a firm that was not only local to me, but one that also offered a diverse and exciting workload. I heard about Roythornes from a lecturer at my university and approached the firm with a view to undertaking paralegal work before applying for a training contract.
I joined the Litigation department in 2017 and was instantly given interesting and exciting work. I learnt huge amounts and built on my skills, all the time developing my knowledge. I knew early on that I wanted to train with the firm.
I became a trainee in September 2018 and made the move from the Commercial Litigation team to Property Litigation under the supervision of Alan Plummer. I have been given clear instructions and support from the onset and have been involved in high-level matters. Whilst the work can be challenging at times, I am thoroughly enjoying my time as a trainee. Outside of work, I am involved in various networking and social events and currently represent the firm in the Peterborough Young Professionals group.
