Being from the local area, I was aware of Roythornes’ good reputation in the region, so when my university alerted me to the ‘At Home with Roythornes’ event, I made sure I attended. Even from that brief glimpse of the firm, I knew it was a place where I could see myself. Roythornes clearly invests not only in its clients by providing them with the highest level of service, but also in its employees and their happy and budding careers.

I successfully applied for a training contract with the firm in the final year of my law degree and received funding to complete my LPC the following year, before starting my training in September 2019.

Now in my first seat in the agricultural property department, I know I made the right choice in Roythornes. I feel constantly challenged and motivated, and not a day passes where I don’t learn something new. At the same time, I feel encouraged and supported both personally and professionally by the firm as a whole, as well as by colleagues individually.

The team I am in have welcomed and supported me more than I could have hoped. They are there to answer my queries and encourage me, whilst helping me develop the tools I need to learn and work independently, too. Being able to learn from them, and share their experience and expertise is a huge privilege. I could not ask for better colleagues.

Roythornes supports me as an individual and, although I haven’t been here long, I already feel that the firm has invested in me, my growth and my success. I feel very lucky to be able to be involved in such a high standard of exciting work, whilst being in a professional environment that places value on its employees’ wellbeing and progress.
