I have really been made to feel part of the team.
I gained my undergraduate degree in Geography in 2015 and the following year completed the Graduate Diploma in Law. Having taken the ‘non-traditional’ route into law I did not want to undertake another year of full time study. Therefore it was important to me that I applied to a firm which offered flexibility to allow me to complete my LPC as well as providing an interesting and comprehensive training contract.
Having grown up in the local area I had always known of Roythornes’ excellent reputation, and I wanted to ensure I worked in a firm which was the right balance between high-street and city. Following the completion of the firm's Vacation Scheme in 2016 it was obvious Roythornes was the place for me!
From day one I was given responsibility, being asked to complete challenging tasks on complex files. Despite being daunting at first, the supervision and learning time I have been given is beyond what I ever expected. It means I have the ability to research and learn independently, but there is always back-up and support when I need it.
Since starting at Roythornes I have really been made to feel ‘part of the team’ and I look forward to continuing my time here.
