"I was attracted by the opportunities for progression in a growing firm"
Coming from a farming background, I knew I wanted to join a law firm with an agricultural focus. Roythornes stood out to me straight away for its strong reputation in the sector and its overall commerciality.
After attending the interview and speaking to current trainees, the contrast between Roythornes and the other firms I’d had interviews with was apparent. I was attracted by the opportunities for progression in a growing firm, the focus on creating long-standing relationships and the work-life balance offered by Roythornes. The atmosphere of the firm was so much warmer and friendlier than the others I’d attended, and it was clear that each member of staff was valued as a member of the team.
I started out in the Private Client Department where I was given responsibility for some files straight away. On my first day after induction, I was drafting wills and, only a few months, in I’m taking client meetings. My supervisor is always happy to answer my queries and I’m always given feedback by colleagues on my work. I am thoroughly enjoying my time at Roythornes so far.
