Food sector expertise
Roythornes Spalding Office

Grace Wiles

When I joined Roythornes, I was looking to move on from my job at the time because it was a small high street firm with limited practice areas and little opportunity for progression. Roythornes ticked all the boxes i.e Regional and growing, vast range of practice areas and good opportunity for growth – which proved true as I joined as a paralegal, now trainee, and hopefully here to stay post qualification!

Everyone’s super friendly and approachable, I have always felt comfortable to ask questions if I am stuck and even to the partners that I have worked with. I have had a great amount of exposure to different real work from when I started until now such as Court hearings, client meetings, drafting ect. Feedback has been great (especially in my current seat) and always constructive which is great for development. Despite having responsibility at work, I have equally never felt overwhelmed or stressed by work which I think it attributable to a good work life balance

Strong sense of growth and expertise – since I started the Birmingham office has opened and we have lots of new faces in the Nottingham office. I was introduced to practice areas which I didn’t even know existed before I joined (such as Food Regulatory law working with Partner Hannah Leese).
