I moved to Lincolnshire when I was a teenager and after doing my undergraduate degree in Nottingham, I moved back and joined a niche litigation firm which had offices in Lincolnshire and Gray’s Inn, London.
When that firm merged with a small regional firm, I decided that it was time for me to move in order to obtain a more complex workload. Having heard of Roythornes and been on the other side of them in disputes, I knew that my need for a complex workload would be fulfilled – this coupled with the fact that Roythornes had offices in Lincolnshire and Nottingham (where I had family), meant that it was a perfect fit for me.
I joined in February 2017 and immediately was thrust in to a number of multi-million pound disputes which were at a level of complexity that I had not seen before. Since then, the variety, complexity and value of disputes that I have been involved in has not ceased to amaze me – it is exactly why I joined Roythornes and long may it continue.
