LEADING law firm Roythornes Solicitors has announced the qualification of four talented legal professionals to solicitors having completed their training contracts with the firm.
Rhiannon Coleman, Alex Wensor, Victoria Walley and Tamsyn Stuart have each qualified as solicitors and will work across the firm’s specialist departments of private client, agriculture property and litigation.
Rhiannon studied geography at the University of Exeter before completing a graduate diploma in law at Nottingham Law School. She was accepted onto Roythornes’ vacation scheme and began her training contract with the firm later that year, completing her LPC with distinction.
Speaking of her qualification, she said: “I’m local to Spalding so I’ve known of Roythornes and it having a strong, well-established reputation within the industry for a long time. I really enjoyed my time on the vacation scheme and was given a great deal of responsibility and trust early on, which confirmed that this was the perfect place to start my career.
“Throughout my training, the team has been incredibly supportive and they are each real experts in their field; the opportunity to work alongside them has been invaluable in the experience and knowledge it has given me.
“Beyond our formal qualifications, the additional training opportunities - such as the ‘Agri-Academy’ that I am currently working through – have been outstanding to not only learn more about a particular sector but to also help us develop the professional business skills needed to fully succeed in the legal profession. This is quite unique to firm and really helps the team develop into well-rounded professionals as well as legal experts.
“I’m currently working within the private client team and this is an area of real interest for me. I hope to stay with the business long-term and develop my career as a specialist in issues relating to agricultural tax, and Roythornes is a great place in which to do it.”
2018 has already proven to be a successful year for the firm top 150 law firm, with more than 20 new starters across the firm’s four offices in the Midlands and East Anglia, several internal promotions and industry recognition including a listing on the London Stock Exchange Group’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’.
Vember Mortlock, managing director at Roythornes Solicitors, said: “Rhiannon, Alex, Victoria and Tamsyn’s work ethic and commitment to the firm as well as their personal development has been exemplary and I am delighted they will begin their careers as solicitors with us.
“The qualification to solicitor undoubtedly marks an important milestone in the career of a legal professional and I join the full team in wishing each of them well in the next stage in their respective careers. I see a bright future ahead for these rising stars and look forward to seeing them each progress through the firm over the coming years.”
