EXPANSION FOR ROYTHORNES PROPERTY TEAM WITH SPECIALIST NEW HIRE
NATIONAL law firm Roythornes Solicitors has appointed a new property litigation specialist to join its busy litigation department.
After graduating from Anglia Ruskin University in 2014 with a first class degree in law, Michelle Moore joined Roythornes as a paralegal and continued her studies by undergoing the legal practice course (LPC), which she passed with a distinction grade, and a fully-funded two year training contract with the firm.
Supported by associate Sarah Whitehurst, Michelle qualified as a solicitor on 1 June and has been offered a full-time role at the law firm, specialising in property litigation. Primarily based in Spalding, Michelle assists in a wide range of disputes including contentious probate matters, tenancy disputes, professional negligence claims, boundary disputes and agricultural tenancies.
Speaking of her new role, Michelle said: “I’m really pleased to be able to continue my work at Roythornes and to have been offered a permanent role at the firm. There have been several years of hard work to reach this point, but the team has been incredibly supportive throughout my training.
“Roythornes really took into account my desired specialisms and interests, and my training contract was built round my ambition to qualify as a solicitor in the property litigation team. I am thrilled to have now achieved this goal.
“I was lucky to be exposed to a variety of different matters quite early in my training contract and was even given the opportunity to represent clients at court on my own, all of which has helped build a very solid foundation to my career."
Roythornes has a well-respected training contract programme which won six Lex 100 awards in 2017, including work/life balance and job satisfaction. Additionally, its vacation scheme, which runs for two weeks every summer, is much sought-after with more than eight aspiring solicitors enrolling onto it this year. Many of the successful applicants later go on to be employed by the firm.
Vember Mortlock, managing director at Roythornes, said “We’re delighted Michelle has agreed to join the firm following her qualification as a solicitor. Throughout her training, she has demonstrated the utmost commitment to our clients, which is essential to who we are as a firm.
“We’re incredibly proud of the training opportunities we offer for aspiring legal professionals and I’m confident Michelle will continue to be a real asset to our well-respected property litigation team. I look forward to seeing her continued career progression within the firm.”
