Victoria studied Law at Aberystwyth University with a dissertation on UK and International Food Regulation before completing the Legal Practice Course at City University, London where she specialised in Commercial Law, Commercial Dispute Resolution and Intellectual Property.
Victoria joined Roythornes in August 2016 to begin her training contract in the Personal Injury department where she assisted Robert Dempsey with a range of claims, acting for both claimants and defendants. Victoria also accompanied Cristina Parla at the trial for S (A Child) v Severn Trent Water PLC, a legally complex claim which has set a significant precedent regarding maintenance and liability for manhole covers.
Victoria currently works with Lisa Millington in the Private Client department, predominantly assisting with wills, probate and trust matters. Whilst working with Lisa, Victoria has gained experience in tax planning for agricultural clients and clients domiciled outside of the UK. She has also assisted with registering Lasting Powers of Attorney, a safeguarding document which appoints attorneys for individuals who are no longer able to make financial or welfare decisions.
Victoria will be moving to the Corporate and Commercial team on 1 September.
