Careers at Roythornes

Laura Hill

When I left university, I wanted to join a firm which could give me hands on experience on a wide range of cases, while providing the support to learn as much as possible. I looked for a firm which was big enough to have a wide variety of clients and case types, while being small enough to not just see their trainees as a number. Roythornes fit my criteria perfectly!

I joined the firm, after completing the LPC, as a Paralegal in the Litigation Department for a year before I began my training contract. The year as a Paralegal allowed me to gain invaluable experience into the litigation process, as well as being allowed to run my own files with supervision before starting as a Trainee in the same department.

Since starting at Roythornes, I have really been made to feel part of the team and have been given challenging and interesting work on files ranging from boundary disputes to employment claims. I have been given a lot of supervision and guidance on the work I have completed, while also being given time to research and learn by myself.

I feel I have learnt so much and have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Roythornes so far and I am looking forward to the next two years as a Trainee.
