New Claims Handler

We are looking for someone who recognises the importance of customer service. Our Personal Injury department is committed to delivering exceptional client care no matter how complex the case may be. Our claim handlers are an integral part of the high standard of service we maintain.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving incoming new claim instructions via telephone and email
  • Contacting clients and checking referral data, obtaining additional information to assist in the appropriate allocation of the file
  • E-mail and telephone liaison with third party insurers
  • Correctly identifying how a claim should be processed and opening the appropriate type and number of files necessary in respect of an accident in accordance with the Allocation Criteria
  • The accurate completion of the initial database entries and Client First Contact attendance note
  • Ensuring that questionnaires/claim forms are dispatched on the day of instructions being received
  • Ensuring that the cases are created and actioned on the day of claim data being received
  • Monitoring the levels of work and avoiding backlog
  • The initial file management of each case
  • Reporting any faults in the case management system relevant to their work
  • Assisting in preparation of management information and reports as required
  • Other responsibilities will include general administrative duties including filing, photocopying and dealing with the post

  • Previous administration experience in an office environment
