On 25th July the Court Fees associated with some debt recovery matters rose by 10%

  • The Court fee for applying for a Writ of Control rose from £60 to £66;
  • The Court fee for applying for an Order to attend Court rose from £50 to £55;
  • The Court fees for applying for an Attachment of Earnings Order, a Third Party Debt Order and a Charging Order all rose from £100 to £110;

These fees are of course recoverable and will be included within the sums owed by the Debtor on success of the application.

From the 21/07/2016 the deposits payable for the Official Receiver also went up as follows:

  • Deposit for a Creditor’s bankruptcy petition has gone up to £990 from £825
  • Deposit payable for a Creditor’s winding up petition has gone up to £1,600 from £1,350

On the withdrawal of dismissal of a petition, the Official Receiver will now also deduct an administration fee of £50.00 for returning the deposit.

Despite these increases we have maintained our competitive fees (with a Solicitors Demand Letter from just £5+VAT), and you can download our updated brochure via this link, or read more about our debt recovery services here.
