Following on from the announcement of a delay in the right for all employees to request flexible working, the Government has just confirmed the revised date for the introduction of the new measures.
From 30th June 2014 all employees will have the right to request flexible working, rather than the current situation which sees only those with children under the age of 17 (or 18 if the child is disabled), or who are carers.
Now that the date is known employers should check their policies on flexible working are clear and make sure that when a request is received it is handled in a compliant and efficient manner.
