Businesses in the region are being urged to have their say on the current employment regulations in the latest phase of the Government's Red Tape Challenge.

The Red Tape Challenge is a programme that encourages individuals to comment on current legislation and suggest possible improvements for the Government to consider.  The theme for the challenge until 19^th October is Employment Law.

Speaking about the Challenge, Phil Cookson of Roythornes solicitors said:

"This is a great opportunity for employers and employees in the region to comment on which parts of the current employment law regulations they feel should or could be changed.

I'm sure we have all at one time or another thought about what we would do if we were in charge and the Challenge gives people a chance to let the policymakers know what they would do and the problems current regulations can cause."
