| Solicitors launch helpline for national Trade Association 27/07/2011
Peterborough based solicitors Roythornes has launched a legal advice line service with the British Potato Trade Association (BPTA). The BPTA, which has 120 members represents the bulk of the tonnage of seed potatoes traded in Great Britain for both the home and export markets (between 250,000 & 300,000 tonnes annually). Under the scheme members will be able to contact Roythornes well respected agricultural team for advice on issues affecting their business from contract disputes to international trade issues. Speaking about the service, Alan Plummer, head of Roythornes Litigation team said: "We have worked with the BPTA for a number of years and are delighted to launch the service to their members. Potatoes are an important crop for the UK and it is critical that the interests of the industry are well looked after and legally secure." Gerard Croft, President of the BPTA said: "I am pleased that our association with Roythornes continues to develop. They have acted as the BPTA’s legal advisers for some time and now our members will have the opportunity to obtain timely advice from lawyers with a deep knowledge and understanding of the potato industry.” |
