| Food sector in the spotlight 11/04/2011 The development of food and drink facilities will be under the spotlight at an event in the region being organised by city solicitors Roythornes. The seminar, which tales place on 25th May in Stamford will look at how the region's many food production companies can plan the development of their facilities to best effect. It will feature presentations from Smith Cooper Accountants, Williams Architects and Roythornes in-house planning consultant John Sneddon.
Speaking about the event, Peter Bennett, head of Roythornes Food sector group said:
"Whilst it would not be true to say that the food sector is recession proof, there is always a demand for food and companies in the sector are often investigating ways to develop their businesses. This could involve an extension or development of premises, and our speakers will be advising on the best way to do this - giving advice on how to avoid the common mistakes many firms make."
This is the third in a series of food sector based seminars by Roythornes which has also seen talks on competition law and employment issues.
Peter concluded:
"The food sector plays a massive part in the region's economy and is a large employer. By attending the seminar food businesses will be able to plan for growth in the knowledge that they are doing so in the right manner."
