City solicitors Roythornes has expanded its Debt Recovery capability with the appointment of Steve Martin, as Debt Recovery Manager.  Formerly Legal Recoveries Co-ordinator at E.On UK Plc, Steve's role will be to service current clients and expand the firm's client base.

Speaking about the appointment, Kate Robbins, who heads up the top 200 law firm's debt recovery unit said:

"Steve's long experience as a Credit Manager with one of the country's largest  Utility companies will help us offer the best of both worlds to our clients.  He will add an extra weight to our "no win no fee" telephone collection service and will be a major addition to our court based collections."

Roythornes debt recovery unit recovers millions of pounds each year for a range of clients including many household and high street names.  Offering flexible packages, they have gained a number of new clients in the last 12 months including another high street retailer in the last two weeks.

Kate continued:

"Over the last year we have invested heavily in our systems and procedures – giving us the advantage in a very competitive market and helping us to attract new work.  We are usually pitching against much larger firms, but we find our innovative approach and competitive package means we often win the work. "
