Speaking about the increased penalties, Deborah Brown, Commercial lawyer with city based Roythorne Christmas solicitors said: "For private companies, filing up to one month late will cost you £150; Between one and three months is now £375; While four to six months stings to the tune of £750; and if you want to experience real pain delay for more than 6 months and part with a painful £1,500! Even more frightening is that if the date is missed for a second consecutive year everything doubles, reaching a business busting maximum of £3,000! If you have already missed this years deadline, then next year could be seriously painful, if you miss it again.
