Businesses in the region are being warned to take care of admin in the current economic climate! 09/03/2009
From February 1st 2009 Companies House increased the penalty for late delivery of company accounts. When every penny counts its worth ensuring you do not fall into the trap.

Speaking about the increased penalties, Deborah Brown, Commercial lawyer with city based Roythorne Christmas solicitors said:

"For private companies, filing up to one month late will cost you £150; Between one and three months is now £375; While four to six months stings to the tune of £750; and if you want to experience real pain delay for more than 6 months and part with a painful £1,500!

Even more frightening is that if the date is missed for a second consecutive year everything doubles, reaching a business busting maximum of £3,000! If you have already missed this years deadline, then next year could be seriously painful, if you miss it again. "

Deborah went on to advise that the simple way to avoid such penalties was simply to deliver your accounts
