| Public Guardian supports launch of web based forum 24/02/2009 A top Government representative visited the city to help launch a new web based service for professionals who are working with the Mental Capacity Act.
Martin John, the Chief Executive of the Office of the Public Guardian was guest speaker at an event organised by The Radford Care Group and Roythornes Solicitors, to discusss the implications of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) . The Public Guardian is the official body which safeguards those who do not have the capacity to make their own decisions. He was speaking to an audience of social workers, general practitioners and other health and social welfare professionals from across the city at the third MCA Forum event. The MCA Forum, run jointly by Roythornes Solicitors, the Radford Care Group and Nottingham City Council also saw the launch of an internet based MCA Forum, where MCA professionals can exchange ideas and ask questions to fellow professionals.
