A career at Roythornes solicitors

Work Experience Programme

One of the best ways to find out what it is like to train at Roythornes is to secure a place on one of our annual summer work experience schemes. We offer a small number of three-week placements at our Spalding office each July. These are aimed at those who are in the process of, or who have completed their degree in any subject and are looking to use the knowledge gained through their university studies in a practical setting.

The placements are designed to give you a realistic impression of life as a trainee and, as a potential trainee, you will be treated as such. You will spend time in up to three different departments carrying out real work supervised by qualified team members. In addition, you will each have a personal mentor who will be your first point of contact for all questions.

Depending on what is happening firm-wide during your placement, there will be opportunities to attend lunch time seminars, meetings and external events. This year our work experience students have attended a conference with Counsel in London, visited a farm for the launch by a government minister of a major farming report and attended an external presentation on the use of social media by one of our partners.

We also offer placements to school students who are considering pursuing a career in law. These are for two weeks and take place from the end of June, again at our Spalding office.

For 2015 placements, you need to apply by 31 March 2015

To apply please download our application form and return, with a covering letter, to Ann Barrasso. For more information do not hesitate to call Ann on 01775 842566 or email
